Romy’s playwriting credits include her critically acclaimed solo show PLACES based on the life of trailblazing Broadway and Silent Film star Alla Nazimova (HERE Mainstage Theater, Players Club, Dixon Place, 59E59, Edinburgh Fringe, Snapple Theatre Off Broadway, Metropolitan Playhouse and regionally at DC’s famed Kennedy Center on the Symphony stage) ,The Feeling Part (Jimmy’s No.43/Playwrighting Collective, a live streamed international performance by LoNyLa), Sex & Sealing Wax (Estrogenious Festival, MITF), Broadville (Source), Lipshtick (New York International Fringe Festival/Dixon Place). Some recent film and TV credits include a co-star role on Bull (CBS), Detective Scarafino in Precinct 75, and a featured voice role (Edna Hoffman) in Florence Foster Jenkins directed by Stephen Frears. She has had costarring roles on Law & Order CI (Officer Talbor), All My Children, One Life To Live, numerous indie films, and has just wrapped a lead role as ‘Shirin’ – an Indian immigrant mother dealing with her cultural identity in the independent feature ‘Downrange’ and the web series Ruthless Spectator created by Rob Bartlett. Romy is also a critically acclaimed audiobook narrator and voiceover artist with over 250 titles to her credit.
Romy has been a theatre teaching artist for over 15 years, working with underserved and children with disabilities in every borough of New York City.
